This is a cover of the Knife song "Heartbeats," heard at the end of tonight's episode of Scrubs. At least Scrubs is still good for interesting musical choices. I used to think it was one of the best comedies on TV but the last couple of seasons have been very meh. I'll be sad to see it go, though.
I'm watching the Westminster dog show and they keep showing this Pedigree commercial, with the shelter dogs. I have yet to get through this commercial without crying. And I mean, for real crying. I've seriously considered volunteering at a shelter but I don't think I could handle it, really. I can't even watch this dumb commercial with the dogs behind bars, it hurts me.
Anyway, Pedigree is matching donations made to American Humane through their website, up to $250,000. So if you give $10, they match it, making the donation $20. I'm sure they'll just give American Humane the $250k but it's still a nice way to help shelter dogs. It looks like they're doing it all through February, not just during the dog show.
American Idol gets worse every year!!!
1. "Well ok, Jennifer Hudson won. WTF am I gonna do for the next three hours?"
2. "I'd really like to punch Rene Zellweger in her stupid mouth." (ten seconds later) "No, that's not nice." (ten seconds after that) "Yup, I'd definitely like to sucker-punch her right in the teeth."
3. "The Fug girls are gonna have a field day with this chick's hair!"
This commercial has been running in the Chicago area for decades, since either 1981 or 1984 (there are conflicting dates there). I very clearly remember it from when I was little all the way up to about oh, 20 minutes ago while watching a re-run of "Will and Grace." The graphics, voice over, and phone number have changed over the years, but the rest remains the same. It's even on Wikipedia.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII? Did I wake up in heaven or something? And there's a Tudor history blog? Whaaaat? I love you, internets.
This "Identity" show is the biggest steaming pile of crap I have ever watched in my entire life.
I am not the type of person who lives and dies for television but... PROJECT RUNWAY FINALE TONIGHT@!#@!!! Who do you think will win? Who are you rooting for? I'm very fond of Laura, personally. But with all the fauxdrama built up around the Jeffrey fiasco, I'd bet money on him winning. Or Uli will come out of left field and win it all! Or it'll just be Michael since everyone loves him.
It makes me sad, though because then there won't be anymore Tim Gunn podcasts or PR blog wrap-ups to look forward to on Thursdays :(
I've been excited all day because of new seasons of some of my fav shows starting tonight. That's a little sad but I DON'T CARE. I'm most excited about The Office and Grey's. SO EXCITED. This would be a bad time for my cable to go out!
