Show us a picture of the pet you'd most like to have in your life.
I want a dog. I don't care if it's a puppy, an adult dog, big, little, purebred, a mutt, whatever. I just want a dog. Two would be great but I won't be greedy.
My apartment doesn't allow pets and I want a condo anyway, so I've been tucking money away over the past few months. If I do that consistently, I might be able to buy a place in the next, I don't know, five years? I could find an apartment that allows dogs, I guess, but I can't afford the rent on a new place so I'm kind of stuck here for a while.
Share the song that most makes you think of "disco."

Can I do two?
I keep meaning to write about the LCD Soundsystem and Bjork shows I went to recently. All you need to know is that both shows were REALLY good and seeing Bjork (for the first time ever) sort of changed my life a little.

I don't feel like hunting down a video and it's not like you've never seen the Daily Show before.
BEHOLD:
Jon Stewart is the love of my life. Why, you ask? Because he is funny, smart, ADORABLE, and enjoys a good crossword as much as I do. I love you, Jon Stewart. Will you ever love me? No? That's ok.
Book: What book are you most ashamed you haven't read?

I'm going to estimate that, as an English major in college, I read approximately a quarter of the books that were assigned to me and I'm being generous. My writing skills extend beyond just proper grammar and usage and right into the fine art of bullshitting. I can't say that I'm especially proud of the fact that I bluffed my way through school, nor am I ashamed of it. Most of the other English students I knew did the exact same thing.
However, there is an extraordinarily long list of books I feel like I'm supposed to read at some point. I'm still rebelling a little and reading anything BUT "classics" but I hope to outgrow that and get back into "proper" literature at some point. I feel that as long as I'm always reading something and filing my brain with (relatively) good stuff, then I can be forgiven for not reading Ulysses. That book is super long! I'll read it some day though, I swear.

If this song doesn't get you going, then you're obviously DEAD or something. Underworld is great when I need to be hyped up for something, like a brisk walk or cleaning the bathroom. They're all I ever listened to while writing papers in college or working on web sites.

That'd be U2 in 1993 when I was 13. Something in my brain spasmed and I became ob-freaking-sessed. I don't know where it came from because I was totally "whatever" about them up until that point. I didn't even jump in at a logical time, either. 1993 was when they had been on tour with "Achtung Baby" for a while and they pushed "Zooropa" out the door, presumably to keep the momentum of the previous release going. I saw the video for "Numb" and BAM! I was obsessed. I don't get it, either.
I've been a fan ever since, though. Someday I'll write about the time Andrew and I stood in line outside the United Center for 17 hours during the Elevation tour and got in the front row. That was one of the best days of my life, minus the horrible sunburn.
I just got a copy of U2 by U2, I think I'll start paging through that tonight. It's a big ol' coffee table book of interviews and pictures from the band's collection, many of which I've never seen. Exciting!
Below is the video that sparked the love affair. Bono looks freakin' hot in this video!
